DOES YOUR CHILD STUTTER?

IF SO, HE/SHE MAY WANT TO COME TO THE FIRST MEETING OF OUR INFORMAL CHILDREN AND TEENS GROUP

DATE:  Saturday, November 25, 2017  from 10-11:30 a.m.

Montreal Fluency Centre – 4626 St. Catherine Street West

Ages:  8+

Objective: This group is a non-therapy group.  The purpose is to allow kids to spend time with other kids who stutter, to ask and answer questions, build confidence in social interactions and determine the kinds of activities that would be helpful to them.  While parents are not present, it would be useful to have a ‘de-brief’ with parents at the end of the session to fill them in on what the kids said/did.  It is hoped that this group will start by meeting twice a year; fall and spring, but could evolve into something larger, since this type of group does not really exist in Quebec.  Children will break into groups based on age and all discussions will be bilingual French/English

There is no cost for this group…the entire project has been privately funded so that kids can come together to share their stories and ideas about stuttering and fluency.

To secure your place or for more information call Rosalee Shenker at 514 489-4320, ext. 242 or Rosalee@montrealfluency.com

There is an option to connect through video conferencing for children who live outside the local area of Montreal.
