Give the Gift of Speech and change the life of a family!
“My son Finnegan has had a rough road in life so far. Diagnosed when he was three years old with a severe speech disorder, we spent years working with different speech therapists in both the private and public sector. He made progress but it was slow and certainly not easy. Then, he started school and at eight years old it became clear that he was also having incredible difficulty reading and writing. We are a single income family with 4 boys and access to the right kind of therapy for my son was challenging to find as well as afford. Our family needed the help of speech- language pathologists who specialized in literacy but also understood his speech and language needs. My family would not have been able to continue therapy without the bursary program. Because of this support, my youngest child has finally started to read on his own! It is still very hard work for him, but we have a therapist who believes in him, treats him with kindness and compassion and supports his learning. I couldn’t have wished for anything more! I am incredibly grateful to the team at the Montreal Fluency Centre and their bursary program for helping my son, Finnegan. To its donors- thank you for your support – it has made a difference to our whole family.” Cheryl V, happy mother of 9-year-old Finnegan
