Executive Director Position

The Montreal Fluency Centre (MFC) is searching for an Executive Director to join our strong and well-respected team of clinicians. The MFC is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that provides assessments and treatment to children who have difficulty with speech, language, literacy, and learning. Our team works collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support our clients in the most effective way possible.

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of The Montreal Fluency Centre (MFC). Duties also include business development, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

Board
• Works with the Board to fulfill the mission of the MFC.
• Participates with the Board in policy decisions, business development and
fundraising.

Mission and Strategy
• Works with the Board and staff to ensure that the MFC mission is fulfilled through
programs, strategic planning and community outreach.
• Responsible for the enhancement of MFC’s image by being active and visible in the
community and by working closely with schools and professionals in related fields.

Finance
• Prepares annual budget and monthly financial statements for the Board.
• Responsible for fiscal management of the MFC.

Operations
• Responsible for the hiring and retention of qualified staff.
• Responsible for effective administration of MFC operations.
• Establishes employment and administrative policies.
• Oversees marketing and other communications efforts

Qualifications
• Minimum three years administration experience.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to plan, coach staff, direct program development and manage a budget.
• A history of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving financial results.
• Marketing and fund-raising experience.
• Bilingual, with strong written and oral communication skills.

Compensation and benefits are commensurate with other similarly sized not-for-profit
organizations and includes an annual salary between $75,000 and $85,000. Interested applicants
