The TAP program is recruiting volunteers! Gain experience working with children and teens with learning and language disorders, ADHD and Autism. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in clinical/counselling/school psychology, education, SLP, and related fields looking to get relevant experience.
TAP will have openings for tutor-interns and observer-interns to work with adolescents who have moderate-to-severe learning disorders starting September 2023 to – the end of June 2024. This program works with students from grade 5 to sec 5 (grade 11). Under the training and supervision of the Taylor Adolescent Team (including a School Psychologist and SLP), interns will assist in remedial planning and the implementation of effective intervention. Interns accepted into this program will take part in bi-weekly sessions with their students & feedback meetings. They will also participate in meetings and consultations with their students’ family and school, and gain experience writing progress reports for their student.
This program is intended to be in person at the Montreal Fluency Centre 4626 Ste-Catherine West, Westmount, Between Vendome Metro & Atwater Metro (90 Bus)
There are TWO different program times (volunteers must commit to EITHER Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday) for the entire program (September 2023 to – the end of June 2024.)
1. Monday & Wednesday 2:30 – 5:30 pm
2.Tuesday & Thursday 2:30 – 5:30 pm
